Salesforce Redirection Errors - Summer '25 Release

With the rollout of Salesforce Summer '25, a subtle but significant change has caused confusion (and broken URLs) across many orgs. Salesforce has disabled legacy My Domain redirects by default, meaning that older URLs pointing to Experience Cloud sites, Visualforce pages, or file downloads may no longer work unless action is taken.

With the Summer '25 release, Salesforce disabled legacy My Domain redirects by default.

If your Experience Cloud sites, Visualforce pages, or file links suddenly stopped working—it’s likely because those old URLs are no longer being redirected to the new Enhanced Domain format.

What changed

Salesforce has moved fully to Enhanced Domains for better security and compliance. While redirects from legacy URLs were previously automatic, they’re now turned off unless you manually re-enable them. For a while, old URLs were auto-redirected behind the scenes. But with Summer '25, that quiet safety net disappeared.

How to fix it

1. Go to Setup > My Domain Settings

2. Check Redirect legacy (non-enhanced) My Domain hostnames

3. Optional: Check “Maintain legacy redirections during the Winter '26 upgrade” to extend coverage

Broken Salesforce URLs after Summer '25? You're not alone.
